On the standard JFTC donation forms there is a spot for the mention of the name of a person to be honored or memorialized by the donor. On these two pages ("In Memoriam" and "In Honor Of") we have endeavored to include all of the names we have received, regardless of the amount of the donation. Our "In Memoriam" page is for those who have died; our "In Honor Of" page celebrates those people still living who have been mentioned by a donor. We have not limited the names on our "In Memoriam" page to those who have died from breast cancer, and there is also no limitation on living people to be honored on our "In Honor Of" page. People who have been mentioned by more than one donor are listed with the number of their mentions.
In many cases, it has not been clear to us at JFTC whether or not the person mentioned has died or is still living- in case of doubt, we have placed their name on the "In Honor Of" page. Any corrections to these pages are encouraged- please send an email to the webmaster at webmaster@jumpforthecause.com.
A special feature of these pages is the ability to individually memorialize those who are mentioned by linking them to a space on another page, where a photo of the person and a small amount of text can be included; in the case of a person who has died, birth and death dates can also be added. Click here for an example. The minimum donation for this type of inclusion is $25; any person already listed on our site whose donor gave $25 or more may have a place reserved for them by notifying the webmaster or sending information by mail to Webmaster, Jump For The Cause 2002, P.O. Box 261068, Encino, CA 91426-1068. A name in a list of names cannot substitute for an individual spot where others can see a picture and appreciate those we want to memorialize or honor.
The honorees in the "Friend In Flight" program are also eligible for the special link and mention, and we encourage those who have contributed to that program to send us a photo and appropriate copy and we will include them on these pages.
Photos to be included on the site should be as sharp and clear as possible, and as close to the face of the person to be honored as can be managed; however, we reserve the right to crop photos to fit our format. Digital pictures may be emailed to the webmaster, or photos may be mailed to the address above; we prefer scans of pictures or copies of photos that do not need to be returned, however, if necessary, we will try to return photos. A self-addressed, stamped envelope would be appreciated.
