Greetings
Thank you for your interest in Jump for the Cause, the '05 Women's World Record in Formation Skydiving.
By now 170 talented women from around the world have received formal invitations to this event. Many others have expressed interest and will be attending try out events over the next six months.
You can view a list of the names of your fellow invited participants at http://www.jumpforthecause.com/participant_page.html (note--this page changes often as women either accept or decline their invitations). Please let us know if you would rather be listed differently.
Your original invitation asked you to respond with a completed registration form and a $250 deposit check before 31 December to reserve your slot and take advantage of the early registration discount. This offer still holds but I ask you that if you know FOR CERTAIN that you CAN or CANNOT attend to let me know as soon as possible. This will allow me to open up more slots for the talented women waiting in the sidelines. Obviously I would prefer you to send in your registration if you know you can attend so we can confirm your slot.
As you can see, there has been a lot of work done on our official website, www.jumpforthecause.com & there is an area you can sign in and be notified of any updates in the future. Dawn, our lovely webmisstress will also be working on personal bios for all JFTC confirmed participants--that will be another way you can let your friends and family know what is going on with JFTC.
There is also a handy FAQ available now that should answer many of your questions about the event. This can be found at http://www.jumpforthecause.com/f_a_q_.html
Of course if you have any questions about any part of the event that are not covered in the FAQ please feel free to ask Richard or I and we will answer them as quickly as possible.
Many women have already started their fundraising for the event and Richard is getting donations in from all over the world to apply to participant accounts. Don't wait--start spreading the news TODAY that you are part of this event. Richard also asks me to tell you that we'll have official JFTC t-shirts available for sale in DECEMBER so that will help boost your fund raising efforts as well!
Our regional recruiters have been working hard and we've received many names of interested women from across the US and around the world.
If you are from the US you will need a FAA card/stamp that can be purchased at any time from NAA http://www.naa-usa.org/website/ in addition to a USPA membership current through 31 October 2005. If you are a foriegn participant you will need your own national aeroclub membership with FAI stamp/endorsement for 2005 (good through 31 October 2005). Please provide proof of these forms when you acquire them by mailing or emailing copies of them directly to Richard.
I am already looking forward to JFTC 2005 and to jumping with all of you, whether it be a reunion or for the first time. Please stay safe and warm through the holiday season.
