Hello and greetings to the wonderful women of Jump for the Cause.
We are just over one month away from putting together the best group of belly flyin' women ever assembled. And you are going to be part of it!
By now you should have:
- Sent Richard your FAI paperwork, National Aeroclub paperwork and Photographs.
- Let Richard know your housing arrangements for JFTC.
- Let Richard know your jumpsuit situation for JFTC.
- Sent Richard your donations on a timely basis.
Please note that all of the above jobs are Richard's jobs. If you wait longer than necessary to do any of these you make Richard's life more complicated, and we don't want that.
If you do NOT contact Richard will all of the above information he will be forced to contact you--call you even--to track you down. This costs JFTC money. This means less money will got to City of Hope. Please be considerate of other peoples time. Make sure Richard has your paperwork and does not have any questions for you now.
Richard is also looking for volunteers to man the JFTC booth both during the US Nationals at Perris and during JFTC. If you (or anyone you know) can donate some time, energy, and a big smile please have them contact Richard directly.
In the housing department JFTC participant Anne Helliwell has a house 2 miles from the dropzone to rent. It houses 10 skydivers comfortably in bunk beds and goes for $15 a night. If you are interested in this as an option to the hotels please contact Rob and Anne directly at robcaster@earthlink.net and remember to let Richard know if you are staying there.
Again, there have been many minor changes to the roster and exit orders. This will continue right up to the day of the event but if you could check the lists posted once in a while it would be appreciated. If a change affects you directly (your slot changes) you will be emailed by me and asked to respond with a confirmation. Thank you to everyone who has received these emails and complied.
Remember that your JFTC commitment means arriving at Perris on or before the 25th of September for jumping on the morning of the 26th, and jumping through the end of the day on 1 October. Your optimum departure date would be on or after 2 October because we are going to have the mother of all party's on Saturday night and you will not want to miss it. Please make the effort to be 100% for this event.
If you have extra jumpsuits in the dive colors (pink, royal blue, white or yellow) please bring them along. The more suits we have on site the more flexibility we will have in making slot changes if needed. Please also bring weight belts, extra lead, sleeves, sweatshirts (in matching colors) etc. Anything needed to insure that YOU are 100% in the slot that you may have to do--no matter what it is.
We have modified the JFTC Support team by offering a Day Pass option. For $50 a day (plus jump cost) a person can jump with the JFTC support team and it's organizers. Please help pass the word since we have two wonderful organizers, Roger Ponce de Leon and Fernando Gallegos coming out to help with this team. Please direct any questions to our Support Team organizers, Randy Garman and Pam Riggs, at ilovebigways@earthlink.net
Thank you SO MUCH for your continued dedication and support of JFTC. I look forward to jumping with each of you very soon. Until then...
Blue skies, and pink, royal, white and yellow suits high over Perris from your JFTC team:
