Total Number of Jumps: 9800 jumps Time in Sport: 21 years
My home dz is Skydive DeLand in Florida where I live and work. I came to DeLand for the first time in 1990 and have trained here with the Norwegian national team since 1994. From 1998 I practically spent more time in DeLand than in Norway so in 2001 I decided to buy a house here. My daughter Kari was born in DeLand and my next baby which I am expecting in May will also most probably be born here if all goes as planned.
Other interests outside of skydiving are being outdoors, golf, tennis, horseback-riding, climbing and working out. I love to travel and have been fortunate enough to visit a lot of countries, especially during my active competetive days in 4-way. I spent 3 years in Kenya as a young girl when my father worked there and the whole family moved over. I have climbed Mt. Kenya and Mt. Fuji. Not really a climb, but it was a mountain! I held a private pilots license at the age of 19.
Notable Accomplishments: 3rd place World Championships FS 4-way 1999, 2001 and 2003. Member of DeLand Norgies (1997-2003). 15 times national champion in Norway (4- and 8-way). Winner of the King's Cup (Norway) 3 times (1998, 2001 and 2004).
Currently working as skydiving coach and team manager
Big-way experience:
Co-captain on the Norwegian national record 108-way Organiser at the Hercules Boogie in Sweden Sector captain on the 300-way world record in Eloy
Interests: Right now being with my fiance and baby daughter Kari!
Personal Note: I have never been a part of a womens' world record attempt before nor skydived with women only. I look so much forward to doing this! I think it's going to be wonderful. We will have fun AND support a very important cause while doing it. I think it's great that women can come together and raise money and share our thoughts. My thoughts go out to all of you who have lost friends or family to breastcancer. I hope and beleive that what we do now will make a difference in the future.
