Additional Hobbies & Interests:
I also enjoy riding my motorcycle with my husband and other friends. I plan to do some traveling with my husband and see more of the world....other than Perris Valley! I also love spending time at home with a good book and my cat curled up in my lap.

A Quick Bio:
Born and raised in Regina, I now call Calgary home. I moved from Regina 13 years ago without a job and with as much stuff as I could pack into my tiny car. It turned out to be the best move, as I eventually discovered skydiving and that is where I met my husband. My days are spent as an Office Manager for a very small oilfield supply company.

Why is it important to you to be a Participant of Jump For The Cause 2005?
Setting a goal and achieving it. In the summer of 2001, I made the decision that I wanted to go to JFTC 2002. After getting the invitation in the spring of '02 I almost didn't make it because of an injury sustained at the try out. My sheer determination (or stubbornness, as my husband would say) got me there. I know that you can accomplish great things if you set your mind to it. I am proud to be involved with such a great cause, doing something I love and meeting great women from all over the world.

Do you have a personal story related to cancer that you’d like to share?
I don't have any breast cancer stories, but my family has a history of other types of cancer and I have lost a number of relatives to the disease. About a year and a half ago one of my sister's friends died of cancer at the very young age of 32. That really hit home for me, maybe because she was younger than me, maybe because she left a young family behind. Whatever the reason, I think about her family and friends and the grief that will never completely go away. I am honoured to be jumping in her memory.
