Additional Hobbies & Interests:

For hobbies I really enjoy traveling, and I also do a little base jumping from time to time.

A Quick Bio:

In 1996 I started jumping in Raeford, NC.  At the time I was in the army stationed at Fort Bragg, NC.  Shortly after I got off student status, I got out of the army and moved to back to Florida to go to school.  In 1998 the Skyventure wind tunnel in Orlando opened and I got a job as a flight instructor.  That is when I first got introduced to competive skydiving and working there I was able to improve my skills at an accelerated rate which got me to where I am today.  I am currently on the US National 8-way team, Arizona Airpseed and on the 4-way team, Airspeed Odyssey.  My home dropzone is Skydive Arizona in Eloy, Arizona.  I have about 6000 skydives.  In 2004, in Croatia, I became the first women to ever win a gold medal at the world championships in formation skydiving.  We won the 8-way event.  When I'm not training or competing, I coached people of all skill levels in the air and in the wind tunnel.

Accomplishments:

  2000 U.S. Nationals - Gold - 4-way intermediate (Deland Tunnel Rage)
  2000 World Cup - Gold - 4-way women (Synchronicity)
  2001 World Meet - Gold - 4-way women (Synchronicity)
  2002 300-way World Record

  2003 U.S. Nationals - Silver - 10-way open (Arizona Airspeed)
  2003 U.S. Nationals - Silver - 16-way open (Airspeed Plus)
  2004 357-Way World Record
  2004 World Meet - Gold - 8-way (Arizona Airspeed)
  2004 U.S. Nationals - Gold - 8-way open (Arizona Airspeed)
  2004 U.S. Nationals - Bronze - 10-way open (Arizona Airspeed)
  2004 U.S. Nationals - Gold - 16-way open (Airspeed Plus)
2005 Malevsky Memorial International Cup - Silver - 4-way (Airspeed Odyssey)

Why is it important to you to be a Participant of Jump For The Cause 2005?

I am very excited to be part of this incredible event that will be raising money to help so many people. My mother had cancer and passed away in 1999 and shortly after my dad also got cancer but fortunately he was able to survive it and he's doing great.  I am so happy that I could be part of something that will contribute to helping people from losing their loved ones.
