December brings the end of the year and a last minute Christmas Rush. This is also a great time to get 2004 donations before starting again on a new fiscal year for 2005 donations (yes--people can take JFTC deductions in BOTH years that way).
Again--if you are an invited participant and you will NOT be able to attend JFTC please let me know so I can remove you from the list and invite another woman to take your slot.
Mary and Jen have been working on the JFTC Calendar--an independent project through their company Gaia's Rose http://www.gaiasrose.org They will be taking pre orders for this 18 month 2006 calendar starting January. The price for JFTC participants is $5 a calendar and they only ask that you sell them for a minimum of $30 each--the $25 you collect per calender is to go to JFTC to help with your minimum donation. Please direct all questions about the calendar directly to Mary or Jen (contact information is on the website).
T-Shirts (2 styles), pins and pink ribbon magnets will all soon be available as fundraising tools to our participants and for sale to the general public. Please continue to check the website for updates. We will send out an email when these items are available with all the information you need to purchase and sell them.
Money for donations is already coming in and Richard is very pleased with the contact he has had so far. Remember that he is your main contact for any administrative details for this event--I just handle the skydiving part! Mallory will be working media, camera and film and Tony will be working on formation design, exit orders, and jumpsuit colors.
We hope to have preliminary slotting done by early next year allowing many of you to get your suits ordered way in advance of the event. In addition to our US based jumpsuit companies we are also working with a German company--Rainbow Designs--to offer our European women a more local opportunity to get a pretty pink suit for this event.
Recruiting for this event has been going great and I currently have a waiting list of over 70 women hoping to get invites. After January 1st I will open up the invites to include a second wave of participants so please please please if you are interested in attending JFTC let Richard and I know ASAP so we reserve your slot.
We have a Big Way Camp scheduled for 5-8 May in Perris--this will be backed up by a 100 way event 12-15 May also in Perris. I hope to have the invitations out for both events shortly but if you are interested in either event please let me know. The Big Way Camps are hands down the best way to get "into big way shape" for JFTC or any event you are looking at and I certainly recommend that for all participants and try out personnel. www.perrisperformanceplus.com/files/page3.html is the website for the Big Way Camp.
Remember to send Richard the following as they become available:
- deposit, plus donations as they arrive
- completed registration form
- photograph (new request--this can be sent electronically in a jpeg format but MUST include your name). If you send an actual photograph you need to send two prints.
- National Aeroclub membership through end October 2005
- FAI membership through end October 2005--if you are from the US this comes from NAA. If you are from other countries many include an FAI stamp automatically on your Aeroclub membership
- Any great fund raising ideas you have that you can share with fellow JFTC recruitees!
Thanks again for your time, energy, diligence and patience in this matter. I am overwhelmed at the positive responses we are having a year in advance of our wonderful event and I look forward to a summer of pink fun!
