A Quick Bio:

I started skydiving in Pennsylvania, during my last year of grad school, then moved to California.  I've tried a little CRW and freeflying, but RW and especially big-ways are my favorite.  The largest formation I've been part of was the 2002 JFTC record.  My husband Kevin also skydives, though he's more likely to be found flying an RC plane than jumping out of a real one.

Why is it important to you to be a Participant of Jump For The Cause 2005?

Jump for the Cause 2002 was one of the most memorable experiences of my life.  JFTC combines the excitement and challenge of a skydiving record attempt, the joy of getting to know a community of women whom I respect and admire, and the satisfaction of knowing that my efforts will help others.

Do you have a personal story related to cancer that you’d like to share?

I married Kevin in November 2004, and JFTC now has a new, personal connection for me:  when Kevin was very young, his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was not expected to live more than a few months.  She beat the odds by surviving to spend another decade with her family, but the cancer eventually spread to her lungs, and she passed away in 1981.  I'm jumping to honor her memory, and to help make stories like this a thing of the past.
